Please note: You need to have a basic knowledge of crocheting to make these ornaments. You need: Size 7 steel crochet hook Size 10 crochet cotton (I use white with sparkles in it for an extra touch) Ch 5, join with sl st in beg ch to form a ring Rnd 1: Ch 3, (counts as first hdc plus ch 1) 11 times in ring; join with sl st in 2nd ch of beg ch-3: 12 hdc Rnd 2: (Sc, ch 15, sc) in first ch-1 sp of prev rnd, 2 sc in next ch-1 sp, * (sc , ch 15, sc) in next ch-1 sp, 2 sc in next ch-1 sp; rep from * around; join with sl st in beg sc: 6 ch-15 lps Rnd 3: Sl st in each of first 7 chs of first ch- 15 of prev rnd, ch 4 (counts as first tr), (2 tr, ch 3, 3 tr) in same ch-15 sp, ch 10, * (3 tr, ch 3, 3 tr) in next ch-15 sp, ch 10; rep from * around; join with sl st in 4th ch of beg ch-4 Rnd 4: Sl st in each of first 3 tr of prev rnd and in ch-3 sp, ch 4 (counts as first tr), 2 tr in same ch-3 sp, ch 6, sl st in 6th ch from hook, (ch 6, sl st in same ch) twice (triple picot made) 3 tr in same ch-3 sp of prev rnd, ch 5, sc in next ch-10 sp, (ch 6, sl st in sc just made) twice (double picot made), ch 5, *3 tr, triple picot, 3 tr in next ch-3 sp, ch 5, sc in next ch-10 sp, double picot, ch 5; rep from * around; join with sl st in 4th ch of beg ch-4; finish off: 6 points Abbreviations: Beg=Beginning Ch=Chain Sl=Slip Stitch Sc=Single Crochet Sp=Space Tr=Triple Crochet I have made many of these ornaments over the years. They cover my tree :o).I stiffen them using glue with a little water,then I pin them on a cardboard piece covered with tinfoil.Allow to dry.
