Snowflake #3



 Please note:You need to have a basic knowledge of crocheting
to make these ornaments.

You need:
Size 7 steel crochet hook
Size 10 crochet cotton (I use white with 
sparkles in it for an extra touch)

Rnd 1: Ch 5 (counts as first tr plus ch 1), 
(tr, ch 1, (2 tr, ch 1) 7 times) in 5th ch 
from hook; join with sl in 5th st st in of beg ch-5.
Rnd 2: Sc in beg tr and in next tr, * (hdc, dc, 
hdc) in next ch-1 sp, sc in each of next 2 tr; 
rep from * 6 times more, (hdc, dc, hdc) in 
ch-1 sp; join with sl st in beg sc.
Rnd 3: *Sc in 2nd sc, ch 20 (being careful not 
to twist ch),sc in same sc, ch 4, tr in next dc, 
ch 6, hdc in tr just made, ch 6,sc in same 
tr as before, ch 4; rep from * around join 
with sl st in beg sc: 8 ch-20 lps.
Rnd 4: Sl st in first 10 chs of beg ch-20, +* 
ch 6, (hdc in 11th ch of beg ch-20, ch 6) twice, 
sc in 11th ch (triple picot made), ch 4, sc in 
next ch-6 sp,ch 3, sc in next ch-6 sp, ch 4+, 
sc in 11th ch of next ch-20; rep from * 6 
times more,rep from + to + once; join with sl st
in beg ch; finish off:8 points

Beg=Beginning
Ch=Chain
Sl=Slip Stitch
Sc=Single Crochet
Sp=Space
Tr=Triple Crochet

 I have made many of these ornaments over the years.
They cover my tree :o).I stiffen them using glue with
a little water,then I pin them on a cardboard piece
covered with tinfoil.Allow to dry.
