Please note:You need to have a basic knowledge of crocheting to make these ornaments. You need: Size 7 steel crochet hook Size 10 crochet cotton (I use white with sparkles in it for an extra touch) Ch 10; join with sl st in beg ch to form a ring Rnd 1: Ch 9 (counts as first sc plus ch 8), (sc, ch 8) in ring 5 times; join with sl st in beg sc: 6 lps Rnd 2: Sl st in each of first 4 chs of first ch-9 of prev rnd, * (sc, ch 6, sc) in same ch-8 lp, ch 6, sc in next sc, ch 6; rep from * around; join with sl st in beg sc: 18 lps Rnd 3: Sl st in first 2 chs of ch-6 of prev rnd, ch 4 (counts as tr), (2 tr, ch 3, 3 tr) in same ch-6 lp, ch 5, * skip next 2 ch-6 lps, (3 tr, ch 3, 3 tr) in next ch-6 lp (shell made), ch 5; rep from * around, join with sl st in 4th ch of beg ch-4; 6 shells Rnd 4: Ch 1, * sc in each of next 2 tr, ch 3, (sc, ch 5, sc) in next ch-3 sp, ch 3, sc in each of next 3 tr, ch 4, sc in next ch-5 sp, ch 4; rep from * around; join with sl st in beg sc; finish off: 6 points Abbreviations: Beg=Beginning Ch=Chain Sl=Slip Stitch Sc=Single Crochet Sp=Space Tr=Triple Crochet I have made many of these ornaments over the years. They cover my tree :o).I stiffen them using glue with a little water,then I pin them on a cardboard piece covered with tinfoil.Allow to dry.
