Snowflake #4



 Please note:You need to have a basic knowledge of crocheting
to make these ornaments.

You need:
Size 7 steel crochet hook
Size 10 crochet cotton (I use white with 
sparkles in it for an extra touch)

Rnd 1: Ch 2, work 7 sc in 2nd ch from hook; 
join with sl stin beg sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 6 (counts as dc plus ch 3), (dc in 
next sc, ch 3)6 times; join with sl st in 
3rd ch of beg ch-6: 7 dc.
Rnd 3: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in same dc,
ch 5, (2 dc in next dc, ch 5) around; join 
with sl st in 3rd ch of begch-3.
Rnd 4: Sl st to 2nd dc, sc in same dc, * 
(sc, hdc, dc, 2 tr, dc, hdc, sc) in ch-5 sp 
(shell made), sc in each of next 2 dc; rep 
from * around, ending last rep by working sc 
in last rep by working sc in last dc;
join with sl st in beg sc: 7shells.
Rnd 5: Ch 10 (counts as hdc plus ch 8), 
dc in 2nd tr, ch 8,* hdc in 3rd sc, ch 8, 
dc in 2nd tr, ch 8; rep from * around;
join with sl st in beg sc: 7 shells.
Rnd 6: Sl st in first 2 chs of beg ch-10 
of prev rnd,4 sc in same ch-10 sp, ch 3, 
dc in next dc,(ch 6,(hdc in dc just made,ch 6)
twice, sc in same dc) (triple picot made),
ch 3, 4 sc in next ch-8 sp, ch 4,
* 4 sc in next ch-8 sp, ch 4; rep from *
around; join with sl st in beg sc; 
finish off: 7 points.

Ch=Chain
Sl=Slip Stitch
Sc=Single Crochet
Sp=Space
Tr=Triple Crochet

 I have made many of these ornaments over the years.
They cover my tree :o).I stiffen them using glue with
a little water,then I pin them on a cardboard piece
covered with tinfoil.Allow to dry.
